Councillor Tim Tierney advocating for urban intensification despite the very clear and vocal opposition from his constituents.

The decision is motivated by financial incentives from the Provincial Government of Ontario, regardless of the significant impact it would have on single house communities of Rothwell Heights, Beacon Hill and Pineview.

His comments about not wanting to hear about "The Rothwells" (a mature community of single housing with nice lots, where residents have been vocal with him about their objections to this proposal ) is telling of his lack of concern for his constituents and his pursuits of financial incentives.

Allowing developers to build 6-plex units in the middle of a single house developments is a bad idea. A new high-rise with 100+ new units is being built at the corner of Blair and Montreal Rd. This will already cause significant new congestion in the neighborhood.

Tim has done a lot of good for the Community over the years, but he's wrong on this one.

Let Tim know that you do not appreciate his lack of concern on this matter, and that he should listen to the his constituents who are ALL fiercely against this proposal.
